I have been designing for over 17 years. (My LinkedIn Profile).
I went to college in Wisconsin for Graphic Communication. During college, I started as an intern for The Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper, where I spent 7 years working up to fulltime, as Design Editor.
I moved to San Francisco in 1999, where I made the move to video games. I was Art Director for Ziff Davis Gaming magazines, including Computer Gaming World and Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine. I braved the humidity of Houston where I worked for ADV Publishing — North America’s largest anime distributor at the time — as Creative Director of Newtype USA magazine, and also managed DVD design, micro-site Flash design, advertising, and the manga division.
Hopping back to San Francisco — and the video game industry — I worked for various clients, including Koei, LEGO Universe Online, Mythic, Disney, DELL, Capcom and Nvidia to name a few. I jumped over game design creating 2D artwork for Gatheryn, a steampunk game by Mindfuse Games. I trained on Maya and started low-poly modeling, texturing, and rudimentary animation, as well.
I am currently working a large update to my second iPhone game, Tucker Ray in: Rednecks vs Zombies.
